Chapter Two

Ice Salt Water

When I woke up, I was in my bed with my black and gray covers pulled over me. It was night out, and though I felt cold, I was sweating as I shivered. Did I have a fever ? I heard the voice of a man in the hall, and while I was opening my eyes, an other voice which I recognized to be June' s shouted : “She's awake! Mr. Campbell!”

My head was spinning like crazy, and I felt like my eyes were going to pop out soon enough. “Wha.. what ha.. happened?” I asked my voice shaking as I said the words.

“Well, Viktor ph...”she started saying until she was cut by her mother who stormed into the room.
